With its stained glass windows, high cathedral ceilings, oak woodwork, soft lighting and live greenery, The Tabernacle Inn is the perfect spot for a romantic evening.

Set in historic Tabernacle, the beautiful Victorian-style building features the Garden Room, an airy alcove with large picturesque windows overlooking a colorful flower garden and tranquil pond.

Owner Mark Metzger invites patrons to visit his establishment for live music on Friday nights and Karaoke on Saturdays. “On Friday and Saturday evenings, our guests come from as far as Cape May and Trenton. It`s very flattering to know people travel that distance to dine here,” said Metzger.

The Tabernacle Inn is also famous for its Sunday brunch. The Atlantic City Press and John Bull of the Philadelphia Inquirer have proclaimed that The Tabernacle Inn`s Sunday Brunch is one of the area`s best. It includes a sparkling champagne punch, shrimp cocktail, a carving station with roast beef and pork tenderloin, an array of breakfast items and desserts. The buffet is just $16.95 for adults and $7.95 for children under 12. Children under 3 eat for free.

Wednesday night is all-you-can- eat Alaskan Snow Crabs at The Tabernacle Inn. The crabs are served atop a copious bed of linguine with a delicious white wine and garlic sauce.

On Friday nights, The Tabernacle Inn hosts its seafood buffet. For $23.95 you can feast on such favorites as steamed clams, shrimp cocktail, Alaskan king crab, mussels in marinara sauce, plus a selection of fresh fish, rice and vegetables. Executive Chef Kent Hardwick, who has been with The Tabernacle Inn since its inception, prepares several meals, cooked-to-order, on the buffet.

The staff at The Tabernacle Inn suggests you also try some of the house specialties like Seafood Pescatore, Veal or Chicken Saltimbocca and the Joseph Wharton Jumbo Rib Eye Steak.
