The owner of this Longport getaway wanted his second home to look and feel effortlessly cohesive while having a natural aesthetic that strayed from the quintessential beach home look. Designer Erica Gordon took that approach while achieving an overall comfort level that pleases the eye and is intrinsically functional. “Spending time at their Shore home is the reward and destination after a busy, stressful week,” Gordon says. “There’s usually a bit of travel required, so when our clients arrive, their goal is to put their bags down and relax. They want easily maintainable, bright, open spaces where they entertain family and friends in a carefree atmosphere.”
