Crunching Numbers

Fifty: RadioShack stores expected to close in New Jersey. The chain, which filed for bankruptcy in February, said it will sell between 1,500-2,400 stores to investment firm Standard General, and plans to close the remainder of its 4,000 stores nationwide in March.

FOUR THOUSAND: Number of square feet of Comcast’s Xfinity store in Mount Laurel, the first in the state. The store’s main purpose is to allow customers to interact with many of their new products–especially in the days of digital television watching in the form of Netflix, Hulu and the like.

$6,000,000: Cost of transforming an abandoned condo complex in Glassboro into the future home of Rowan University’s public relations and advertising programs and an art gallery for the school.

$4 MILLION: Amount Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment’s subsidiary, CHMI Solutions Inc., announced it will acquire Aurora Financial Group for, including the assumption of $3 million in liabilities.

$10,000: Amount the city of Woodbury allotted to private non-profit, Main Street Woodbury, which promotes the city and its downtown, down from $40,000 in 2014.

6.4: Percent of Burlington County’s average unemployment rate for 2014, the lowest in six years.
