Teen Killed in Willingboro
16-year-old Latrice Logan was hanging out at an after-school sub shop in Willingboro with friends yesterday afternoon when she was killed in the parking lot. Balloons and flowers now mark the spot where she died. Police have issued an arrest warrant for her boyfriend.
The life of 16-year-old Latrice Logan was cut short Friday afternoon. Police say she died from a single bullet in her stomach that came from the gun of her boyfriend, 18-year-old Maurice Howard. They had just eaten at a popular after-school hangout.
One teen said, “I didn't hear yelling or anything, and the next thing you know, there was nothing and then the cops came and said did you hear gunshots.”
Friends called the shooting an accident saying Maurice Howard was just playing around with the gun when it accidentally went off.
Another teen said, “They get guns and they want to play with them, show them off. That's not how you do that. He was playing with it, and I guess he made a mistake and it went off and she got shot in the stomach.”

Police have not charged 18-year-old Maurice Howard with murder, but rather with reckless manslaughter. However, they say he should be considered a fugitive at this hour and considered armed and dangerous.
