School Reopens Wednesday After Flu Scare
A South Jersey elementary school that closed earlier this week over swine flu concerns was being reopened on Wednesday.
After being closed for two days , the Hainesport Elementary School (pre-K to 8) was reopening on Wednesday morning.
Superintendent Mark Silverstein says tests on a boy and a girl who had flu symptoms were negative for the H1N1 (swine flu) virus: "I think everybody's going to have a heightened sense of sensitivity when they come back tomorrow. The building again was sanitized for the third straight day today. So the children are coming back to a very healthy and hopefully germ-free, infection-free environment." Burlington County health officials say they'll continue to monitor students for flu symptoms -- and that children who are sick need to stay home and get treatment from a doctor.
