Flyers Tie Toronto

Gary Roberts scored with 2:05 remaining in the third period and Corey Schwab made 22 saves as the Toronto Maple Leafs tied the Philadelphia Flyers 1-1 on Tuesday night.

Keith Primeau scored for the Flyers, who held a team meeting on Monday after losing to Toronto on Sunday.

Mats Sundin made a cross-ice pass to Roberts, whose one-timer beat goalie Brian Boucher.

Just 24 second later, Roberts received a holding penalty but the Maple Leafs killed it off. The Flyers, who began the night tied for the fewest power-play goals in the NHL, went 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Schwab, 2-2-3 since starter Curtis Joseph broke a bone in his left hand, stopped Mark Recchi on a breakaway in overtime.

The Maple Leafs also played without two of their top four scorers, Mikael Renberg and Alexander Mogilny; and top defenseman Dmitry Yushkevich.

Toronto hasn't lost at home since the Flyers beat them on Jan. 19.

John LeClair's wraparound shot deflected off Primeau and in, giving Philadelphia a 1-0 lead at 3:48 of the first period.

Boucher preserved the lead with a sprawling save on Sundin in the first period.

Schwab kept it a 1-0 game by stopping LeClair on a breakaway in the third period.

Notes: The Maple Leafs honored Art Jackson, who collapsed and died just as he was being introduced before a Maple Leafs game on March 3 during a ceremony that honored the top 25 players in team history. Jackson, the nephew of former Maple Leafs player Harvey "Busher" Jackson, was 78. ... Toronto defenseman Jyrki Lumme played his 900th NHL game. ... The Maple Leafs are 5-0-1 at Air Canada Centre since losing 3-0 to the Flyers on Jan. 19.
