Hunt On for Triple Kidnapping Suspect

Police said Karief Youmans, 25, and another man, George Briggs, 21, kidnapped 8-month-old Amiya S. Coles on Nov. 12 on Norris Street in Camden, N.J. Authorities said that at about 8:15 a.m., Youmans broke into the Coles home and demanded money of a female resident. They then pistol-whipped her and took the baby.
"I was getting up off the floor. I was asking him not to hurt her. He grabbed her and ran down the steps. He was hollering for someone. If there was someone there, I do not know. I did not see anyone but him," said Maria Anderson-Coles, Amiya's mother.
Amiya was recovered unharmed at approximately 9:30 a.m. outside of a building at 3035 W. Coulter St. in Philadelphia. The Coles family said they are no longer living in the Norris Street home because they are afraid of Youmans.
Briggs, of West Philadelphia, was arrested at the traffic stop and later charged with kidnapping, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault and related crimes.
Police said Youmans and Briggs fled to Hartford County, Md., where they may have committed other crimes.
Youmans then managed to steal and then speed off in a police car at the traffic stop, Investigators said. He then allegedly kidnapped a man at gunpoint and ordered him to drive to Philadelphia.
Police said that man escaped at a rest stop. Youmans then allegedly forced a pizza deliveryman into the trunk of his vehicle and drove to Philadelphia.
The deliveryman escaped after spending two hours in the back of a trunk. Youmans's arrest warrant says that he is charged with 31 criminal charges including kidnapping, carjacking and armed robbery.
Briggs aunt told NBC 10 that she warned Briggs about Youmans.
"I know Karief Youmans. He is a terror -- I mean, he's a live wire. ... Karief would get into all kinds of stuff, and I would ask and beg my nephew, 'Please, stay away from this boy," said Adrienne Anderson.
The Camden County prosecutor warned that anyone who has seen Youmans should contact them right away.
"He was wearing baggy blue jeans and a ripped yellow shirt and his right hand and arm are injured and might be bleeding. I want to emphasize again that he is extremely dangerous," said Vince Sarubbi.
