Three-Alarm Fire (Update) Fire officials in West Deptford, N.J. said Monday morning that arson is behind the fire that destroyed an emergency medical station Monday morning.

The station on Grove Road was ablaze at 4:30 a.m. when firefighters reached the facility.

Officials said the building's living quarters were destroyed, but rescuers were able to get the group's EMS rescue vehicles out of the building.

Arson investigators were on the scene going thru the wreckage with an arson dog after the fire was put under control at 6:30 a.m.

Later, they said the fire was suspicious and a fire accelerant was found at the scene.

The three-alarm fire broke out this morning and was big enough to close Grove Road as the fire burned for almost two hours.

There was one ambulance in the building but no people were inside it. Firefighters arrived on the scene and it took them about two hours to knock down the flames.

The back half of the headquarters of the West Depford Ambulance Service completely burned to the ground. Another crew is expected to arrive with a bulldozer later today and they will tear down the building before it falls to the ground. Officials are now investigating the cause.
