Two Dead in Crash After Police Chase CAMDEN, N.J. -- Two people are dead after a high-speed police chase came to a crashing end Tuesday evening. One of the victims was an innocent driver.

Authorities said the chase started on the Black Horse Pike in Bellmawr, N.J., after police ran a car's tags through their computer and found the driver, Gregory Gansky, had a suspended license and a number of unpaid traffic tickets.

"The officer exited his vehicle, this individual put his car into reverse and began to pull backwards towards the officer, at which time the officer got back into his car," said Vincent Sarubbi, the Camden County prosecutor.

Police chased the Ford Probe on to Interstate 295, exiting at the White Horse Pike in Barrington, N.J. The chase ended on Warrick Road in Haddonfield, N.J., when the Ford Probe hit a curb, went out of control, skidded sideways and across the centerline, slamming into a Chevrolet sedan.

"I was scared it was going to hit a tree and hit our house. I didn't know what to think," said David Dunhoer, a witness.

Gansky, 27, and Thomas Fitzgerald, 58, of Magnolia, N.J., were killed.

A third car was involved in the accident, but the person in that car was not injured.

The accident still remains under investigation.
