Pilot Charged With Public Drunkeness The Federal Aviation Administration has revoked the license of a pilot accused of flying a small plane through controlled airspace over Philadelphia International Airport.

John Salamone's erratic flight on January 15th took him from Atlantic City to the airspace over Philadelphia's airport and then over the Limerick nuclear power plant. His red and white single-engine Piper Cherokee was finally forced to land at the Pottstown-Limerick Airport in Pennsylvania.

FAA spokesman Jim Peters says a half-dozen airliners had to change flight paths to avoid Salamone's plane.

When Salamone landed, police charged him with public drunkenness.

Salamone has not commented since the flight. He can appeal the revocation order or wait a year and reapply for a pilot's license.
