Correa to Stand Trial A woman who allegedly helped start a house fire in Philadelphia and kidnap a 10-day-old girl to raise as her own has been ordered to stand trial on charges of kidnapping, arson and criminal conspiracy.

Carolyn Correa, 42, of Willingboro, N.J., is accused of kidnapping Delimar Vera in December 1997 and raising her until the girl was recognized by her birth mother at a birthday party five years later.

The birth mother, Luzaida Cuevas, testified Friday that she first met Correa, a distant relative, on December 14, 1997, the day before her daughter was believed killed in a fire at her house.

Cuevas was reunited with her daughter, now 6, in March.
