Athlete Dies in Crash

Graduation day will be a somber event at one Atlantic County school.

Seniors at Buena Regional High School are due to get their diplomas Tuesday.

But the graduates are mourning the loss of a popular classmate killed in a one-car crash early Monday.

Ricky Wilcox, a star wrestler who planned to attend West Virginia University, was alone in his truck when it crashed into a tree in Folsom, N.J., and burst into flames. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The school's seniors were in the midst of graduation practice Monday when they learned of the accident. And the practice was abruptly halted because several students were overcome with grief.
