Man Beaten While Walking Dog

Eugene Dombrowski is hospitalized at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where doctors plan to put metal plates in his shattered face Saturday morning. A gang of teens beat Dombrowski within an inch of his life last Friday in Ewing Township.
Just after midnight July 2, Dombrowski was walking his dog when he noticed a group of five or six teens following him. One spoke to him.
"He asked me if my dog bites, and then after I didn't really give him an answer, when I went around the telephone pole, he came around and hit me in the side of the face with something, I don't know," Dombrowski said. "He just jumped on me and started kicking."
A woman in a house nearby heard Dombrowki's pleas for hip. When she came out, his attackers fled.
The beating left Dombrowski with a shattered cheekbone and eye socket, along with other severe facial damage. He can barely open his mouth and has problems with his balance.
Ewing Township police only said their investigation is continuing, but Dombrowski said police have several suspects in mind. No arrests have been made.
