Mays Landing Student Dies

Mays Landing Student Dies State police are investigating a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike extension in Newark that claimed the life of a Rutgers University student.

Daniel Boney was sitting in the back of a car that police say was struck from behind by an SUV on Sunday. The 21-year-old Mays Landing resident was returning home with five other students.

The other students, along with the driver and a passenger in the SUV, were treated for injuries and released.

No charges have been filed.
