Possible Insurance Fraud The Burlington County Office of Consumer Affairs, in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, have issued a CONSUMER ALERT for any resident who has contracted with Polite Insurance Agency of Burlington City.

“Our office has been contacted by several consumers who believed they had insurance through the Polite Insurance Agency, only to find out when trying to file a claim, that they are uninsured,’’ said Burlington County Consumer Affairs Director Renee Borstad.

“We immediately contacted the County Prosecutor’s Office and the state Department of Banking and Insurance,’’ she continued. “The Department has opened an investigation. In the meantime, consumers who believe they may have been victimized should contact the Burlington County Office of Consumer Affairs.’’
