Christmas Eve Murder Investigated

Christmas Eve Murder Investigated Police in Cumberland County arrest a Vineland man in the killing of his girlfriend.

Authorities believe 72-year-old Raymond Cervini strangled 60-year-old Ellen Schwegel at her home in Millville on Christmas Eve. The two had dated for two years.

Cervini allegedly took Schwegel's car after the crime and drove to Middle Township, where he confessed to a stranger.

Cervini has been charged with criminal homicide and bail was set for $750,000.

Authorities did not give a possible motive for the slaying.
