The Vagina Monologues was written in 1996 by playwright, actress, and feminist Eve Ensler, based on interviews with hundreds of women. A MEMORY, A MONOLOGUE, A RANT AND A PRAYER is a compelling ground-breaking work edited by Eve Ensler that contains the diverse voices of different men and women who examine the corrupting powers of brutality, neglect and physical abuse. Last year, over 3700 V-Day productions were performed around the world, educating millions of people about the reality of violence against women and girls.
