Iverson wins Player of the Week honors Allen Iverson was the Most Valuable Player of the NBA All-Star Game and didn`t stop there, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to four straight wins en route to Player of the Week honors.

The star guard scored 15 of his 25 points in the final quarter to help the Eastern Conference to a 111-110 All-Star Game victory at Washington on February 11.

He was even better when the season resumed, averaging 39.3 points, 5.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 steals in four games.

Iverson`s best effort came when he scored 49 points in a 107-104 win at Milwaukee. One night later, the 76ers routed the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers behind 40 points from Iverson.
