Camden Riversharks Sell Out When tickets for the May 11 home opener of the Camden Riversharks minor-league baseball team went on sale Saturday, they sold out in 90 minutes.

More than 100 fans were waiting in line when the ticket office opened at 9 a.m., team General Manager John Brandt said in a prepared statement.

Campbell`s Field, the Riversharks` stadium under construction next to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, will seat 6,461 fans.

The Riversharks will host the Lehigh Valley Black Diamonds at 6:30 p.m. May 11.

"We continue to be overwhelmed by the response that we get from the fans," said Brandt. "Opening day selling out so quickly proves that everyone is excited about the Riversharks and what is happening on the Camden waterfront."

Tickets for the second and third games, on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13 also are going fast, he said. "The momentum is building for a great season," Brandt said.

Tickets for the remaining 71 home games at Campbell`s Field can be purchased at the team offices in Camden or through the toll-free team line, 866-742-7579.
