South Jersey Football Games of the Week
In addition to the Burlington City at Buena first round playoff game that we previously previewed, here are some other top South Jersey football playoff games of the week:

South Jersey Group 3
(7) Delsea at (3-5) at (2) Rumson Fair-Haven (4-4), Friday, 7 pm.
Like Manasquan, Rumson has played a difficult schedule in the Shore Conference and will benefit from it. Senior QB Collin Coles has thrown for 881 yards and 9 TDs. Junior John Volker has rushed for 478 yards (4.6 avg.) and 4 TDs. Delsea has also played a difficult schedule. The Crusaders as usual will rely on the ground game. Unlike Delsea teams, the Crusaders have suffered several lopsided losses, with three defeats by three touchdowns or more, Still, the Crusaders are coming off a 42-6 win over Bridgeton and hope to take that momentum into the postseason.

South Jersey Group 4
(5) Millville (4-4) at (4) Clearview (7-2), Friday, 7 pm.

Just like last year, Millville lost its first three games to three perennial powers, St. Peter’s Prep, St. Joseph Hammonton and Williamstown. And just like last year the ‘Bolts have rebounded well. This is a dangerous team, especially with sophomore running back Laquint Allen. Senior receiver-defensive back Solomon DeShields, a Pitt recruit, is another big-play performer for Millville. Clearview advanced to the SJ Group 4 final last season before losing 17-14 in double overtime to Shawnee. This year’s losses have been to Highland and Mainland. Clearview senior Michael Acona doesn’t throw much but he has been effective. He has completed 20 of 34 for 545 yards and 8 TDs.

South Jersey Group 1
(7) Glassboro (3-5) at (2) Paulsboro (6-2), Saturday, 12 pm.
Glassboro has lost four in a row, but three of them have been close. The only game that wasn’t was a 40-0 loss to defending South Jersey Group 4 champion Penns Grove. In sophomore receiver-defensive back Keon Saab, Glassboro has one of the top players in South Jersey. Paulsboro is coming off a 36-20 win over Gateway that clinched the WJFL Memorial title. Junior Bhayshul Tuten has rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns.

South Jersey Group 2
(5) Delran (7-1) at (4) Manasquan (3-4), Saturday, 1 pm.
Manasquan has played a tough schedule and will benefit from that in the postseason. The Warriors have been in every game this season and have won three of their last four. Delran has won seven in a row since dropping its opener to Cinnaminson. Quarterback Dustin Desher has completed 56.8 percent of his passes for 822 yards and 11 TDs. The headliner is R.J. Moten, a Michigan recruit. Moten, who was slowed by an ankle injury earlier this season, has rushed for 222 yards (6.3 avg.) and 4 TDs. He also has caught six passes for 82 yards and 2 scores and has 44 tackles at safety and two interceptions. Last year Delran just missed making the postseason despite having just one loss at the cutoff date. This year the Bears hope they have an extended stay.
