SURF REEL IN BLUEFISH

ATLANTIC CITY-- Atlantic City first baseman Jose Velazquez hit two homers as the Surf beat the Bridgeport Bluefish 11-7 in the second game of Friday’s doubleheader.

Velazquez went 3-3 with three RBI’s in the game. Aaron Lane picked up the win, pitching five innings and giving up three runs on four hits, striking out three.

Leftfielder Duane Singleton went 2-3 with a homerun and two RBI for Bridgeport. The Surf finish up the first-half of the season at home with a three game series against the Nashua Pride starting tomorrow, 7:05, at The Sandcastle.
