SURF BEAT NASHUA, STAY IN HUNT Atlantic City -- Atlantic City catcher Emison Soto`s solo homerun in the eighth inning propelled the Surf to a 4-3 victory against the Nashua Pride Sunday night at The Sandcastle.

The win, coupled with Somerset`s 3-2 10 – inning loss keeps the Surf in the playoff chase, one game behind with one game left in the first-half. Soto had two homers and three RBI’s on the night.

Dave Mastrolonardo got the win for the Surf, pitching .2 innings, giving up one hit. Jose Malave tied the game at three in the top of the eighth with an RBI-single, before Soto`s bomb that same inning.

The Surf finish the first half with Nashua tomorrow at The Sandcastle.
