Robber Rundown By Tractor Trailer During Getaway A robbery suspect died Sunday when he ran onto Interstate 295 and was hit by a tractor-trailer, authorities said. Mount Laurel police were called at 3:15 p.m. to the Ramada Inn, where a man said that two people _ one carrying a knife _ attempted to rob him outside the hotel. The victim said the two ran to a nearby wooded area.

The suspects later were seen running near I-295, just north of Route 73.

Shalom Johnson, 18, of Hatboro, Pa., ran onto the highway and was hit by a tractor trailer in the center lane, according to state police.

The other suspect, a 16-year-old girl from Horsham, Pa., was charged with robbery and turned over to Burlington County authorities. Mount Laurel police found a steak knife near the robbery scene.
