(Trenton)- John Stephens toosed a seven-hit shutout as Bowie defeated the Thunder, 4-0, to salvage a game in the three-game series. The loss snapped Trenton`s 5-game win streak.

Bowie (43-57) scored all four of their runs in the 8th Inning off Trenton starter Andy Hazlett. DH Papy Ndungidi delivered an RBI single to get the ball rolling. Willie Harris and Joey Hammond added run scoring singles later in the inning.

Hazlett (4-1), who carried a shutout into the 8th Inning, ended up with four runs allowed on six hits in 7 2/3 innings.

Stephens (9-4) completed his 2nd shutout of the season by allowing seven hits. He walked one and struck out seven.

Trenton (54-48) got two hits each from Tonanye Brown and Aaron Capista in the loss.

The Thunder have Thursday off before beginning a weekend series in New Haven, CT on Friday.
