(Trenton)- The Thunder broke a five-game losing streak with a 7-3 win over Bignhamton on Tuesday night. Jerry Salzano had four hits and three RBI on the evening.

With the game tied 1-1, Trenton (55-52) broke the game open by scoring four runs in the 5th Inning off Mets starter Jason Roach (7-5). Virgil Chevalier hit a two-run homer, his 12th of the year, and Tonanye Brown and Luis Garcia collected RBI doubles.

Binghamton (54-53) got a run in the top of the sixth, but Jerry Salzano roped a two-run single in the bottom half to take a 7-2 lead. Salzano was 4 x 5, 3 RBI on the night.

Trenton starter Andy Hazlett (5-1) went six innings for the win. He allowed two runs on six hits with one walk and seven stirkeouts, a season-high.

The series wraps up on Wednesday at 12:05 PM. Chris Elmore (3-0) goes for Trenton against the Mets` Billy Traber (1-0).
