NJ Woman Falls to Death Along PA Highway A New Jersey woman fell to her death along a Pennsylvania interstate when the family stopped for a bathroom break. Police say the family didn`t realize there was a rest area less than three miles farther along the highway.

The accident happened Friday along I-80 in Luzerne County near the community of Nescopeck. Police say the woman and her family stopped along the highway to take a bathroom break. The woman walked through the bushes -- not realizing there was a steep cliff on the other side. She fell 200 feet to her death.

Police say the family didn`t realize there was a rest area less than three miles farther along the highway.

Her husband fell partway down the cliff trying to rescue her. He had to be saved by firefighters.

The couple`s children alerted authorities by calling 9-1-1 on the family car phone.
