Case Solved?

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner has confirmed that it was Kimberly Szumski`s body found buried in a Society Hill rowhouse on Thursday. The cause of her death is still uncertain, and a full autopsy will take several weeks. Preliminarily it does not appear that she was shot or stabbed.
The body was removed from the basement of the building at 538 Lombard Street on Thursday. Sources tell Action News that dental records and serial numbers from breast implants were used in making the positive identification.
Investigators were led to the home on a tip that Szumski`s husband Thomas did contracting work on the building. He was the prime suspect in Kimberly`s disappearance, so detectives visited a number of sites where he had done construction work. The one in Society Hill solved the mystery. According to Assistant Burlington County Prosecutor Raymond Milavsky, "The detective went back to 538 Lombard, was given permission to go down into the basement, saw the wall that was recently erected, and saw evidence of a lot of flies, heightening his suspicions."
Thomas Szumski won`t be charged – he was found dead of a heroin overdose inside the couple`s Cinnaminson home on July 4th. The couple had two children, six year old Luke and four year old Olivia. They are now living with Thomas Szumski`s sister in New Jersey.
Thirty-six year old Kimberly Szumski had been missing since May. It was later learned that she had filed for divorce from her husband, charging him with abuse and threats that he might kill her.
Meanwhile, the investigation into Kimberly`s death continues. Police want to know whether Szumski was killed in New Jersey and transported to Philadelphia, and well as how she was killed. They are also continuing to look at Thomas Szumski`s death.
