Ducks Rout Surf

The Long Island Ducks defeated the Atlantic City Surf 15-3 behind a 20-hit attack Monday night at the Sandcastle Stadium.

The Ducks used a seven-run third inning and six-run eighth inning to take one of the three games played in the Labor Day weekend series.

Tom Hage was 4-for-6 with three RBIs for the Ducks and Jose Gonzalez blated a grand slam for Long Island. Atlantic City got a two-run homer from Alex Llanos, his second of the season.

The Surf open a three-game series with the Somerset Patriots Tuesday night at the Sandcastle. The new special starting time is 6:35 p.m.
