NBA All-Star Jam Session Opens Thursday CENTER CITY: February 7, 2002 — The Super Bowl and the NHL All Stars had the sports limelight last week, but this weekend belongs to Philly alone. The NBA All-Star Game is at the First Union Center Sunday, but the fun starts Thursday night with the NBA Jam Session at the Convention Center. The Sixers' web site has details about the weekend-long festival for fans, including a link where you can buy tickets. You can play games, make your own trading cards, meet star players, and more. As for Sunday's game, Allen Iverson starts for the east. So will Dikembe Mutombo, at center. And Lower Merion's Kobe Bryant was voted to the western team. So there'll be plenty of Philly flavor on the court, and it couldn't come at a better time for local fans.

For information about the NBA Jam Session at the Pennsylvania convention center visit the Sixers' website at www.sixers.com.
