Wall of Remembrance

Wall of Remembrance The public is getting its first look at a memorial created by families and friends of those killed in the terrorist attacks.

The Wall of Remembrance--a series of 52 specially constructed boards and cubes--is on display this morning at the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton.

Today is the six-month anniversary of the attacks on Washington and the World Trade Center and the plane crash in western Pennsylvania.

The memorial was first erected in the concourse of the former Central Railroad of New Jersey terminal. It contains photos of many victims, along with letters, poems and other items placed there by their loved ones.

It was created over time by victims' relatives and friends who came to the Family Assistance Center that was set up at Liberty State Park.

The memorial will remain on display daily through May 12th -- except for Sundays -- at the museum.
