Rowan Prof. Receives Nat`l. Recognition

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) will present Farrell with the award in June at the annual conference in Montreal.
Farrell was selected for the award in recognition of her excellence in training students as well as her contributions to chemical engineering education. She has introduced emerging topics in engineering to her students, presented and published extensively, and been active in ASEE and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
The Ray W. Fahien award is presented annually to an educator who has shown evidence of vision and contribution to chemical engineering education.
Farrell has received several awards, including the 2001 Joseph J. Martin Best Paper Award and the 2000 Dow Outstanding Young Faculty Award. She was recognized as an ASEE Rising Star (2001) and is included in Who's Who in Engineering Education.
She holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, an ME in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
