Shore Property Still Available

Rental properties are still widely available at the shore, but business owners still have high hopes for a robust season. Memorial Day weekend is here and people are heading to New Jersey's beaches.

The big question is -- How many?

Some believe that vacationers will be looking to destinations closer to home as people continue to be wary about air travel in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks.

The early indications are mixed.

Hotel and motel bookings are up 40 percent in the Wildwoods. Business is steady, but slow-moving at one hotel in Cape May.

One rentals manager in Ocean City says there are a lot of properties available in all price categories and good deals can still be had.
