Scary Ride at Carnival

Scary Ride at Carnival A night of fun at a New Jersey church carnival came to a screeching halt when some two-dozen people were stuck on a stalled amusement ride. It was a harrowing ordeal for the 25 to 30 passengers, mostly teenagers, who were on the "Spinout Ride" at the carnival put on by the St. Charles Borromoe School. The Spinout Ride spun out at around 9:00 p.m., coming to a complete stop and leaving many people upside down for up to an hour and a half.

Blood rushed to the passengers' heads, causing some of them to faint after being suspended upside down for such a long period of time. Firefighters had to bring in a large tower ladder to begin extracting passengers from the ride.

Some of the kids had to be taken away on wheelchairs because they didn't have any blood in their legs and were unable to walk, and those who had fainted were given oxygen. Several passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for observation, but from what we're being told there were mostly minor injuries.

There is still no word on what caused the ride to malfunction.
