Death Penalty Trial in Camden

Death Penalty Trial in Camden A death penalty trial gets under way in Camden County today.

Charles Reddish Junior was convicted last year of killing a Cherry Hill woman during a burglary eleven years ago. The victim, Sharon Rosenthal, was a tenant in an apartment complex where Reddish was a maintenance worker.

Reddish is already serving two life sentences for the 1995 murder of his girlfriend and the rape of her 14-year-old daughter.

A new jury was picked for the penalty phase because prosecutors intend to use those crimes as aggravating factors. They were barred from telling jurors about them at trial.
