Late Chief`s Wife Gives Birth The wife of Mount Ephraim's late fire chief has given birth to a healthy daughter.

The girl was born about a month after her dad, James Sylvester, was killed in a July fourth house fire in Gloucester City. Sylvester and two other firefighters died when the home collapsed on top of them as they tried to rescue three young sisters, who also died in the fire.

The birth was announced yesterday by borough firefighter Anthony Stagliano. But he says the child's mother, Marilyn Sylvester, has asked that the girl's name and details of the birth not be disclosed.

The Sylvesters had no other children.
