Manhunt for Accused Cop Shooter

Police had over 100 officers looking for Wyatt on Wednesday, including the SWAT team and various other police agencies. The search was concentrated in a half-square mile area in the Jericho/Hammond section of Deptford, bordered by Mail Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, Boundary Road, and Glassboro Road.
The officers were heavily armed and here's why:
Chief Leo Selb/WOODBURY HEIGHTS P.D.: "He's still considered armed and dangerous, he still has the weapon he took from Sergeant Kummer, that's our information."
Lamar Richard Wyatt, from Chester, Pa., was stopped Monday night for some routine traffic violations in Deptford. He is accused of trying to gun down Sergeant Steven Kummer with the officer's own gun while trying to escape. The gun was pointed at Kummer's head, but he managed to turn the gun away and the bullet narrowly hit his ear instead.
Chief Leo Selb/WOODBURY HEIGHTS P.D.: "As a result of some tips that were received from citizens within the area of Jericho, police were called in from neighboring towns to put a perimeter up around the Jericho area."
Police say reports that Wyatt might be trying to use a disguise to try to sneak his way out of the perimeter appeared to be unfounded, but they were taking no chances and were inspecting all vehicles leaving the area.
Chief Leo Selb/WOODBURY HEIGHTS P.D.: "If he's watching or he's listening I would ask him to peacefully surrender himself, that's my advice. We know who he is, we're not going to give up, we're not going to go away, and it's only a matter of time before he's apprehended."
The SWAT team made one last big push into one of the sections of the perimeter Wednesday night. When they didn't find Wyatt, they called off the search for the night. Police planned to regroup at Deptford police headquarters to see what other tips they might receive.
