NJ Colleges Make The List The Unofficial, Unbiased Insider’s Guide to the 320 Most Interesting Colleges has named Rowan University to its list of the most interesting colleges across the nation. The guide, created by Kaplan, is published annually.

The publication gives potential students general information about the campus, student body, academics, costs and admissions data. Readers also find more specific details about classroom size and activities, the on-campus environment and student life.

Some items that made Rowan University one of the “most interesting colleges” include the Rowan endowment, low student/faculty ratio, unique research conducted by faculty and students, downtown revitalization plans, location between Atlantic City and Philadelphia, 10-year plan, number and variety of student clubs and athletics.

Rowan University President Donald Farish believes the title of interesting college fits Rowan perfectly. “The University has a unique history, from the Hollybush summit to the Rowan endowment. In addition, we have an intriguing present, with many faculty conducting compelling research with students, ongoing plans for the new Technology Park and the revitalization of downtown Glassboro. And I am confident that the University’s future will prove to be even more exciting.”

Four other New Jersey colleges were named to the list: The College of New Jersey, Drew University, Princeton University and Rutgers University New Brunswick.
