Grenade Sighting in AC

Police are trying to figure out who put a live hand grenade inside a trash can in Atlantic City.

The grenade was spotted Saturday afternoon outside the Martinique Hotel on Atlantic Avenue.

Both the Martinique and Howard Johnson hotels had to be evacuated.

The area was closed off for about an hour while the bomb squad removed the grenade.
