Buffet King

On the day my wife and I visited Buffet King Chinese Restaurant, it was quite crowded. When there are so many people eating in one restaurant, you can safely - and correctly, in this case - assume two things: The food is good, and it`s reasonably priced.

Another thing you`ll soon notice about Buffet King is that it`s appropriately named. There were more selections on the buffet (Lunch - $4.99 for adults, $2.99 for kids under 12 lunch; Dinner - $7.99 for adults, $4.25 for kids under 12) than just about any other restaurant I`ve visited. According to the menu, there are 65 different buffet items daily (including lunch and dinner) and over 200 items each week - and the specialties change every day. In fact, unlike most other restaurants, Buffet King actually has many of its daily lunch and dinner buffet selections printed on the menu.

Some of the tempting items available on our recent visit included Egg Rolls, Soups, Dumplings, Fried Lobster Roll, Cashew Chicken, Boneless Spareribs, Pineapple Chicken, Pepper Steak, Hot and Spicy General Tso`s Chicken, Shrimp with Scallops, Beef and Broccoli, Baby Bok Choy, Honey Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Vegetable Lo Mein. We must have tried everything, even the desserts. (These included fresh fruit, Chinese doughnuts and chocolate cake. Buffet carry-out is available at $2.99 a pound for lunch (Monday - Friday) and $3.39 a pound for dinner (seven days a week).

In addition, Buffet King has a huge menu that includes Lunch Specials, Combination Plates, Chef`s Specialties and over 80 other dishes. Take-out is available for all dishes. Parties are also welcome.
