Waterford Public Works Dir Fired

by NBC10/AP | Feb 13, 2003
Waterford Public Works Dir Fired Waterford, N.J., has fired its public works director because he allegedly didn't provide invoices for about $15,000 worth of parts and equipment.

The firing of Vic Pangia--a 20-year township worker--was announced Wednesday by Mayor Lorie Toussaint.

She says the decision was also based on Pangia's poor job performance and concerns about safety-related problems.

Toussaint says several companies stopped service to the township because of the unpaid bills, making it difficult to obtain needed materials. But it remains unclear as to why the invoices were never turned over.

Pangia couldn't be reached for comment. His last day at work was January 31st.
