Shore Club Owner Questioned

by NBC10/AP | Feb 24, 2003
Shore Club Owner Questioned Criminal investigators have interviewed employees of the Stone Pony nightclub in Asbury Park, where the band Great White used pyrotechnics.

The investigators are seeking information in an investigation of a deadly fire in Rhode Island that killed at least 97 people during a Great White concert.

Sergeant Kevin Rehmann says two detectives went to the club Friday to talk to Domenic Santana, the owner of the Stone Pony. He declined to discuss the nature of the interview.

The owner of the Rhode Island club says Great White used pyrotechnics without having notified him or his employees.

The band's leader, Jack Russell, and its lawyer have disputed that.
