Rigatoni`s Restaurant & Pizzeria

Although it has been open a short time, Rigatoni`s Restaurant & Pizzeria in Runnemede is fast becoming one of the area`s most popular restaurants.

After visiting it recently, I can certainly understand why. Rigatoni`s offers the perfect mix to attract customers: great food, friendly service, huge helpings and reasonable prices. From the outside, Rigatoni`s looks small, but inside the restaurant is spacious and immaculate. Decorated in shades of green, the dining room contains booths, tables and highchairs for little visitors.

When I ate dinner there with my husband, we were very impressed by the menu (all of which is available as take-out). Rigatoni`s offers a variety of traditional and gourmet pizzas, calzones, steak sandwiches, burgers, sandwiches, hoagies, chicken, salads, pasta, veal and seafood. Plus, there are special kids` meals available that range in price from $3.95 to $5.95 and include a soft drink and ice cream.

My husband started his dinner with a huge plate of Mussels Marinara ($5.95). He said they were extraordinary. We also enjoyed bread and a side order of addictive garlic knots (six for $1.00). Both of our entrees also came with a choice of soup or salad.

As my entrée, I ordered a house specialty: Pasta a la Rigatoni. This dish contained chunks of chicken, broccoli florets, fresh tomato and basil in a light blush sauce ($8.95). It had to be one of the best pasta dishes I`ve ever had. My husband chose Shrimp Parmigiana with capellini pasta ($13.95). He loved that the shrimp were so plump and juicy.

Unbelievably, we both somehow found room to try one of their scrumptious desserts: Strawberry Cheesecake ($2.95).

Stop by Rigatoni`s and try their delicious food for yourself. You`re bound to be impressed.
