Stabbing Victim Dies

An Evesham Township woman who was stabbed over the weekend died early Monday morning at Cooper Hospital -University Medical Center in Camden, N.J.

Prosecutor Robert Bernardi said that Krista D. DiFrancisco, 24, was found lying in the grass in front of a neighbor's home in the Kings Grant development at 6:45 a.m. Saturday. The wife and mother of a 9-month-old had been stabbed multiple times.

Bernardi said that the initial investigation has revealed that the victim was returning from a local restaurant in neighboring Mount Laurel Township. He said it appears that the victim drove from the restaurant to her home and was attacked after leaving her car and walking to her residence.

Police said they were notified of the incident by an anonymous 911 call.
