Taso`s Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlour

I can honestly say that my mother and I were pleasantly surprised after a recent visit to Taso`s Bellmawr Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlour. We were expecting a typical ice cream parlor with a few mediocre meals, but we found a full-service restaurant that offers a large selection of delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly, efficient service. TasoÕs also sets itself apart from the competition by preparing homemade meals, cooked to order.

Upon entering we immediately knew we discovered "Bellmawr`s Best Kept Secret," and we were sure glad we did! With a beautiful fireplace, flowers on each table and lots of greenery, Taso`s boasts a warm and cheery atmosphere. And since Taso`s extensive menu features everything from breakfast specialties and hot sandwiches to steak and seafood entrees, it`s sure to please the whole family. Taso`s also has a number of "mini-meals" and daily lunch and dinner specials as well as a children`s menu.

Unable to pick just one appetizer, we ordered The Sampler ($6.25), which consists of stuffed potato skins with cheese and bacon, crispy buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks.

For an entree, my mom chose one of the daily specials - Ham & Cheese Omelette ($5.50). Along with home fries and toast, it was served with a cup of homemade soup and a small beverage. Amazed at just how big and tasty her omelette was, she expressed similar enthusiasm for the hearty vegetable soup.

I finally decided on one of the mini meals - Deep Fried Deviled Crab Cake ($6.50). Served with a choice of soup or salad, warm bread and two vegetables or pasta, I would say the meal was anything but mini! Everything, including my fresh salad, french fries and cole slaw, was delicious.

As its name suggests, Taso`s also features a large assortment of ice cream and yogurt, and serves sundaes, ice cream cakes, waffles, milkshakes and floats. Although we were too full to even attempt dessert, all of the selections looked delectable. Next time, I`ll make sure to save some room!
