Woman`s Killers` Confessions In Question In South Jersey, two men accused of kidnapping and killing Christine Eberle tried to get the charges thrown out of court. Christine Eberle was the young lady kidnapped from the Ferry Avenue station by two young men abducted at gunpoint. Those two men subsequently arrested. There was a confession played in court these last two days. They are trying to get the tapes and the confessions thrown out.

On the tape, “…Covering her mouth and everything. Dude started to hit her hard.” The voice on the tape is Marcus Tolliver. He is one of the two men accused of kidnapping and murdering her. They took her to a deserted area where they robbed her and killed her.

“Where did you kick her?”
“Mostly in the head.”
“Punching her?”
“Yeah, smacking her.”

The pair of accused killers sat in court listening to their confessions, so did Christine's mother. At one point, Tolliver talked about how she was strangled with her own purse.

“We knew what happened, here, why did you decide to put yourself through the agony of listening again?” “I would never not be there for my daughter. The support that I have and her love will go on forever,” said Christine’s mother, Linda Reese. She said that prayers, friendships and her daughter's memory are keeping her motivated.

She said of Christine, “She was motivated and a successful woman that wanted to get married and have babies. She is loved by everybody.”

The hearing has been continued until the middle of July. If the confessions are thrown out, the trial could be a year away. If those confessions stay in, a trial could start this fall. By the way, that robbery for those two men netted $65.
