Cafeteria Worker Found Guilty

Cafeteria Worker Found Guilty A longtime school cafeteria cashier who kept thousands of dollars that students gave her for their lunches has pleaded guilty to theft charges.

Mary Ann Iuliucci, 43, entered her plea this week as part of a plea bargain with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. She also agreed to pay $15,727 in restitution to the Waterford School district and agreed to never again seek public employment in New Jersey.

In return, prosecutors agreed to recommend that Iuliucci receive three years probation when she is sentenced Aug. 29.

The thefts occurred between September 2000 and December 2002 at the Waterford Elementary School, where Iuliucci had worked for about 10 years before being charged in January. She was fired shortly after the thefts were discovered.
