Dog That Killed Owner Euthanized

The dog was put down Friday at the Garden State Humane Society in Pennsauken, N.J. Medford police Chief Edwin Wood told the Burlington County Times of Willingboro, N.J., for Tuesday's editions.
The Doberman pinscher, known as Luger, fatally bit into owner Valerie DeSwart's neck on Sept. 7.
DeSwart, 66, had brought the dog home from a shelter only 10 days earlier -- despite warnings that the dog had a history of biting.
The previous owner had paid a shelter in Newark to have the dog destroyed, but Luger ended up being adopted again anyway last month.
