School Bus Crash Injures 18 A school bus accident left 17 Mainland Regional High School students and their driver with minor injuries in Linwood, N.J.

Police said the bus, carrying 26 students, veered off Route 9, plowed through a utility pole and came to rest against a tree Thursday morning.

Lt. Jim Baker said the cause of the accident is under investigation.

The crash knocked out power to dozens of homes and caused the closing of a three-quarter mile stretch of Route 9.
