Couple Accused of Abusing Sons

Authorities said Vanessa and Raymond Jackson are accused of failing to provide adequate nutrition and medical care for their four adopted sons.
The children -- ages 9, 10, 14 and 19 -- were adopted in the mid-1990s.
Authorities began their investigation after a neighbor contacted police to report that one of the boys was rummaging through their trash.
The 19-year-old remains hospitalized in stable condition and the other three boys have been released to foster care placements, authorities said.
Officials said the children were adopted through the state Division of Youth and Family Services.
The parents were being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
