Reciprocity with other states - traffic violations
Statute: 39:4-9.1 (Exchange of information between states concerning certain violations)


If a person is found guilty of a traffic violation in any of the following states, notice of the conviction will be sent to New Jersey and applied to that person's driving record.

  • Maryland
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • North Carolina - will only report violations that cause a driver's license to be suspended or revoked
