Reciprocity with other states - traffic violations
Statute: 39:4-9.1 (Exchange of information between states concerning certain violations)
If a person is found guilty of a traffic violation in any of the following states, notice of the conviction will be sent to New Jersey and applied to that person's driving record.

- Illinois
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Maine
- Maryland
- Minnesota
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Montana
- Nebraska
- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New Mexico
- New York
- North Carolina - will only report violations that cause a driver's license to be suspended or revoked
- North Dakota
- Ohio
- Oklahoma
- Oregon
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- South Dakota
- South Carolina
- Tennessee

- Utah
